News from Wendy Butler Berns:

Wendy has launched her Facebook Fan Page - featuring her latest news.

Wendy added 8 new patterns added to her website's Pattern page. Several patterns use her Picture Image Machine Applique technique, and aq few others play with texture and embellishment with threads.

Wendy's quilt image plus a photograph done by another artist was featured on the promotional postcard generated by the Overture Center for an exhibit that is currently hanging in Madison. "A Thousand Words" is artwork inspired by photographer Walker Evans whose worked appeared during the Depression. Images of the exhibition on MCFA's facebook page.

Wendy will be teaching "Awakening the Art Quilter Within" August 12-17, 2012 at The Clearing in northern Door County, WI......Wonderful week of creative arts in all disciplines, home cooked meals and a beautiful, peaceful setting.

Wendy will be teaching "Pictorial Quilting–Painting with Fabric" September 16–21, 2012 at Dillman's Creative Arts Foundation. Dillman’s is located in the woods in Lac Du Flambeau, Wisconsin.

Several of Lisa Binkley's embellished quilts have been curated into the exhibition "Uncommon Threads: Contemporary Wisconsin Textiles" that will be on display at the Museum of Wisconsin Art this spring. Lisa will give a gallery talk at the museum as part of the exhibition opening activities as well.



Sue Jackan has a piece in the SAQA "Art Meets Science" exhibit.
